Constructed in 1965, this world famous landmark was designed by Viljo Revell of Finland, winner of the worldwide competition for its model. The dome in front of the twin curved office towers, serves as the council chamber. In Nathan Phillips Square there is a reflecting pool that is turned into an ice rink in the winter.
